The Lost Elephant

Once upon a time, there were a whole lot of elephants. All the elephants were as gray as a rainy cloud. Just as they were walking, a pregnant mother fell to the ground.

All the elephants surrounded the mother elephant. POP!

Out popped a baby elephant. The baby looked like a gray sheep. The aunties and uncles were jumping around with joy.

POP! POP! POP!

Out popped three more baby elephants. The aunties and uncles jumped with joy and stood still with their mouth open and then fell to the ground with amazement. The mother elephant called them Bill, Jan, Phil, and Dill.

One day, a lion came and stole Dill. All the elephants looked and looked for Dill. Finally they found him with fruit around his body and he was just about to be eaten by the lions. The mother dashed in and got Dill but just before she left, she whacked the lions and they went home.

Who am I?

I am big and I am fat.

My colour is green and I am tough like a strong person.

I am not fluffy and my name starts with 'sh'.

I have a donkey and I have a big roar.

I also have a wife and a dragon with babies.

They are red.

I am on a video. I also have a toilet outside.

Who am I?

Who am I?

I have floppy ears and I like to hop.

I come out at night.

I go hiding during the day.

I have a fluffy tail.

I'm white and sometimes brown.

I hide chocolate eggs and I come out at Easter.

That's who I am.

Who am I?

I come out in the day,

I warm people up when it is cold.

I live in the sky and I am hot.

When the moon comes out, I go to sleep.

I move a lot in the sky.

Can you guess who I am?

Who am I?

I am old.
I live all the way in Australia.
I go to work everyday except when my grand children come for 10 nights.
I live with my grand children's great grandmother.
Our house is completely white.
The Kitchen is white, the lounge is white, the bedroom is white, and the roof is white!
I have white hair.

Do you know who I am?

Dear Richie McCaw

Hi, my name is Nikita at Mapua School.
You are my Dad's favourite player. You're mine too.
I believe that you're the toughest All Balck. The rest are the second thoughest.
I think you are the best, don't you? So many All Blacks but so far... I think you're the awesomest!
One of my cousins think that too.
When my sisters see you on T.V. they scream "Woohoo!". My Dad does too.
Do you think that's crazy? because I think so.

From Nikita

Tino pai rawa!

Today we are learning to say our name in interesting Maori. My pretty name in cool Maori is 'Ko Elise toku ingoa'. If it was Tilly's name in awesome Maori, it will be 'Ko Tilly toku ingoa'. It is cool isn't it? Yes it is! If it was Maggie's name, it will be 'Ko Maggie toku ingoa'. If you practice it, you will get better and better!
